Weekly Roundup

I started the week talking about the importance of a quarterly review by highlighting my 8 year old son's recent review. Then on Wednesday, I was excited to participate in the Financial Literacy Awareness Carnival hosted by Shannon from The Heavy Purse. In honor of my birthday (which is today) I shared some fun facts about me and then I also shared one of my favorite "A-ha" dinners because with one ingredient you can make two yummy dishes. I really enjoyed reading a number of people's "A-ha" money moments and decided for my roundup this week that I would highlight my five favorites. My favorite "A-ha's" of the week

  1. Of course I have to include Mackenzie from The Random Path when the blog title is "Nobody puts baby in a corner," but seriously, she shared a great lesson learned through a painful time.
  2. Laurie at The Frugal Farmer is always so honest about her financial journey and this post is not exception. I definitely relate to so much of her path.
  3. Dee from Color Me Frugal shared a great example of how compound interest helps you achieve your financial goals faster.
  4. Brian from Luke 1428 shared a great story of resisting temptation and sticking to goals.
  5. Tonya at Budget and the Beach said it perfectly, "Financial awareness is not a destination...it's a journey!"

Thank you to the guys at Sprout Wealth for sharing my post about making time for making money this week. And to Fit is the New Poor and Young Adult Money for featuring me in their blog roundups this week. A super big thank you to Two Cents for featuring my Financial Sexiness Test as highlighted by J. Money and giving me my first over 2,000 view day on my blog. What a great birthday gift!Do you have Easter plans or other spring-like plans this weekend?
