Weekly Roundup

This week I confessed that I had officially bitten off more than I could chew and I recently felt myself Running on Empty. The good news, though, is that my schedule for this week was much lighter and I am quickly refueling the tank and it feels phenomenal! On Wednesday I shared another client story and the importance of being a student in your financial journey. Friday I released episode 5 of my podcast and this one featured my friend J. Money.I had a big week this week over at Stacking Benjamins as well. I guest hosted on Monday because OG was sick. It's fun doing a podcast and not having to worry about editing it. :-) I also wrote posts about the value of a college education and turning your hobby into a career.

Blogs I enjoyed this week:

  1. Disease Call Debt shared 10 products that you can make at home, and I love a good DIY product list.
  2. Melanie at Dear Debt shared how she pays down debt on a low salary.
  3. KK at Student Debt Survivor shared how she doesn't have "that kind of money" and why she's okay with it.
  4. Frugalwoods shared 11 frugal hacks to stay warm this winter.
  5. My friend Laurie posted on Debt Roundup about how to deal with rejection, and rejections sucks, but sometimes it serves a purpose and we shouldn't be afraid of it.

Thank Yous!!

Thank you to Budget Blonde, The Heavy Purse, Young Adult Money, Eyes on the Dollar, The Finance Girl, Financial Diffraction, The Debt Free Guys, Budget and the Bees, and Budget and the Beach for mentioning either my blog, posts or podcasts this week. Also, a big thank you to Kali at Commonsense Millennial for reviewing my book on her blog. You all really do know how to make a gal feel loved. :-)Thank you to everyone who has downloaded the podcasts! I am now on the New and Noteworthy list for Business and Investing podcasts and it's thanks to all of those downloads. If you want to rate the podcast, apparently 5 star reviews help you even more.New and NoteworthyThis weekend, I am continuing to refuel my tank, we are having a low-key dinner with friends who have a hot tub tonight and Will has his last soccer game of the season tomorrow.

What do you have planned this weekend? Did you go to any fun Halloween parties or trick or treat? What's your favorite Halloween candy?
